COVID-19 CHANGES TO SERVICE

We are still open for business during these difficult times, but we have revised the way we operate to ensure that we are fully compliant with government guidelines.

We are able to continue to conduct site surveys, which is still a very important starting point for our service, but we must adhere to social distancing rules. We have undertaken surveys recently and have found it to be relatively easy to more than satisfy the guidelines that are in place, so we are confident to persevere.

The precautions we have in place are as follows:

1. The afternoon before the day of any arranged survey, we shall contact you to ensure that no person in your household is displaying coronavirus symptoms or in a period of isolation in accordance with government guidance. If you have any doubt what-so-ever we shall be more than happy to delay your survey appointment.
2. Upon arrival at your property our surveyor will apply hand sanitiser before coming to your door.
3. As hard as it has been to break the tradition, our surveyor will not say hello with the normal hand shake.
4. If the weather allows us to do so, we have found that a very good place to discuss your requirements is in the back garden, this allows us to get a very detailed understanding of your requirements and expectations while maintaining sensible distance in an open area. Alternatively you can think ahead and have a room or area designated for an initial chat.
5. The internal measured survey typically takes 20-30 minutes. It is a good idea to minimise the number of people in your home at this time. Our surveyor will discuss a route around your property which will allow rooms to be vacated as the measurements are collected.

We have found this common sense approach to be very effective and easy to implement. We are very grateful to our customers who have helped to keep us operating safely and look forward to meeting others with similar consideration in the future.
